Fountain of the Four Rivers Rome
The beautiful fountain in the Piazza Navona in Rome. Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi. Four giant figures at the fountain's four corners represent the world's four great rivers, the Danube (Europe), the bearded Ganges (Asia), the bald Plate (Americas), and the Nile (Africa). This figure represents the Ganges. The building behind the fountain is the church of Sant'Agnese in Agone.
